RETURN POLICY

Effective January 2022


YOUR SATISFACTION IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY.  If you are not happy with your purchase, we will happily exchange it or refund the cost of the merchandise.  

Blackerby Violin Shop strives to provide the best quality products to its customers. All items sold in our store or shipped to customers are inspected prior to shipment.

If you are dissatisfied with your purchase or believe it is defective, please read the following information for returning your merchandise:


INSTRUMENTS, CASES, BOWS, AND ACCESSORIES

Please inspect all items thoroughly upon receipt for damage, and retain all packaging materials. If you believe you have received a damaged instrument, bow, or case, please document the damage with photos and contact us immediately. Discontinue using the item.

You must call or email us within 24 hours of your receipt of damaged or defective merchandise to receive a refund.   A staff member will review your concerns, and if we determine the item is defective or damaged, you will have 30 days to return the merchandise.  To receive a full refund, please return items in their original packaging, along with any additional accessories and loose items (straps, keys, bags, pads, etc.).


NON-DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE RETURNS

If you are unhappy with a purchase that is not defective or damaged, you may return it at your expense within 30 days for an exchange or full refund.  Open accessory items will incur a 15% restocking fee. ALL instruments, cases, and bows will incur a 10% restocking fee. All Items must be returned in new, sellable condition with their original packaging to be eligible for exchanges or returns.  


STRINGS

Strings, once installed, may not be returned for any reason. New, unused strings may be returned within 15 days of receipt for a full refund or an exchange, so that we may ensure our strings remain as fresh as possible. We will not issue refunds or exchanges for any returned string that appears used or worn. 


SHEET MUSIC

If you order sheet music and we send you the wrong title or edition, you may return it for a full refund or exchange.  Otherwise, sheet music purchases are ineligible for refunds. If you believe your sheet music contains a misprint, please contact the publisher.
