Blackerby Violin Shop has been the leading resource in Austin, Texas for string professionals and students since it first opened its doors in 1995. The shop was founded by two string teachers who realized their students had no local source for high quality yet affordable student instruments. From the beginning, the shop has aspired to provide everything a string player might need under one roof; from instruments and bows, to sheet music and a full range of accessories. Today, we operate two locations in North and South Austin. We rely on our staff of highly trained string players to assist our customers in finding instruments, cases, bows, and accessories that fit their needs and their budgets.
